The Bookworm Crush

The Bookworm Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

This spinoff of The Replacement Crush featuring Amy and Toff is sure to melt your heart.
Shy bookworm Amy McIntyre is about to compete for a dream scholarship, and the only way to win is to transform from sidekick to the heroine of her own life. But that level of confidence has never come easy.
The solution? A competition coach. The problem? The best person for the job is the guy she’s secretly crushing on…local surfer celebrity Toff Nichols.
He’s a player. He’s a heartthrob. He makes her forget basic things, like how to breathe. How can she feel any confidence around him?
To her surprise, Toff agrees to help. And he’s an excellent teacher. Amy feels braver—maybe even brave enough to admit her feelings for him. When their late night practices become less about coaching and more about making out, Amy’s newfound confidence wavers.
But does Toff really like her or is this just another lesson?

i should read that book tag

hello everyone! i know i’ve been bombarding you all with blog tour and review posts lately, and that’s due to the fact that i’ve been super occupied with schoolwork since the beginning of september and i don’t really have any time to sit down and properly blog about things. i’m slowly working on my europe travel diary and other discussion posts, and i hope to get them ready soon! for the time being, let me try to make things more interesting by doing a book tag 😀

a great big thank you to audrey @ make your (book)mark for tagging me! there are currently 1357 books on my goodreads shelf – i obviously have a huge problem, lol. i read 100 books a year on average, so it’ll probably take me around 13.5 years to finish reading all of them. to quote frank zappa – “so many books, so little time”.

book review – she’s the worst by lauren spieller

i received a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. all opinions below are my own.

another blog tour? you ask in exasperation. yes, i reply, for i loved lauren spieller’s your destination is on the left and i was fascinated by the synopsis of this book – a story that is centred around sisters! it’s like this novel’s made for me.

in all seriousness though, i’d love to thank the fantastic flying book club and the publisher simon & schuster for making all this possible and letting me join in the fun! she’s the worst is one of my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2019 and i was so excited when i found out i’d been approved for an early copy.
